Percy Hill went from New England’s best kept secret to legendary Jamband following the recording of their 1998 album Color in Bloom. The critically acclaimed release won a Jammy award for best studio album and earned the band high praise from publications like the Village Voice and Entertainment Weekly. Percy Hill’s music drew favorable comparisons to Paul Simon, Sting and Steely Dan; and while their live shows earned them a spot beside the very best of the improvisational rock bands of the 90’s and early 2000’s (Phish, Widespread Panic, Disco Biscuits, moe., String Cheese Incident), they often claimed to be most at home in the studio. The success of Color in Bloom grew the bands popularity, leading to sold out shows and marquee festival slots from coast to coast. Now, a little more than 10 years after Percy Hill’s last live performance, the band comprised of Joe Farrell, Aaron Katz, John Leccese and Nate Wilson has reunited to celebrate the critically acclaimed music the band created over that storied period of time. With sold out shows in Portland Maine and Boston Massachusetts and festival slots on 2017 Jamcruise Percy Hill is back and raring to go. Color in Bloom.
