Death Café
Saturday June 4
10 AM – 12:30 PM
Portsmouth Public Library
Death: It’s no conversation killer. Drink coffee, eat cake, and discuss your inevitable demise.
Hospice Help Foundation is pleased to partner with the Portsmouth Public Library to host its third Death Café, where community members meet in a supportive environment to discuss thoughts, feelings, and experiences with death—without the awkwardness often associated with this topic. Discussing death helps us make the most of our (finite) lives.
Free and open to the public, though space is limited. RSVP before May 27th to Hospice Help Foundation, at 603-766-0444 or janet@hhelpfoundation.org.
Featuring guest speaker, Dr. Deborah Turiano—Certified Hospice Medical Director and trained facilitator for The Conversation Project and Respecting Choices—who will speak about Preparing for The Conversation: A Thoughtful Approach to Being Prepared for Advanced Illness.
Hospice Help Foundation, an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, aims to provide financial assistance to hospice patients and their families with dire financial need to improve their quality of life and ease the burdens accompanying a terminal diagnosis. Our support transcends the usual scope of hospice care by providing assistance for services not covered by medicare, medicaid, or private insurance, and is available to patients regardless of which hospice provides their care. Visit them online at hhelpfoundation.org, or on facebook as hospicehelpfoundation.
