First Sunday: Live Guitar Performances
at Portsmouth Public Library & Portsmouth Music and Arts Center

This fall, the Portsmouth Public Library and PMAC (Portsmouth Music and Arts Center) in association with the Boston Classical Guitar Society, will continue their series of live guitar performances called First Sunday. These free concerts will be held at 3 PM on the first Sunday of the month (except September), alternating locations between the Levenson Room at the Portsmouth Public Library and the Haas Family Gallery and Recital Hall at PMAC.

Bryan Bergeron Killough — Brian has B.A. in Jazz Performance and an M.A. in Musicology from the University of New Hampshire. He teaches guitar, and jazz ensembles at PMAC, a course on the history of jazz at the University of New Englan and is the music teacher at Eliot Elementary School (ME). As a guitarist and performer Bryan has been an integral part of the New England music scene for the past twenty years. He is a founding member of the alternative rock band ‘GrooveChild’ and award wining gypsy jazz group, ‘The Hot Club of Portland’. Bryan performs frequently as a solo artist, with jazz bands, rock bands, and the Seacoast Big.
Drawing from a rich selection of guitar talent from both New Hampshire and the greater Boston area, the series of recitals will highlight the versatility and range of the guitar from classical to jazz to acoustic.
First Sunday is a collaboration between the Portsmouth Pubic Library and the Portsmouth Music and Art Center.
