Join us for this two-fold gaming celebration! We are hosting our 5th year of International Tabletop Day by Geek & Sundry and we are also celebrating five years of being your friendly local game store in Portsmouth, NH! We have several exciting features planned along with more details to announce soon. This event is free and open to the public for all to enjoy our space, some games, and the company of your friends and family!
Tabletop Day & Diversions 5th Anniversary will occur on Saturday, April 29 from 10:00am through midnight. Below are some of the events which will take place throughout the day:
All Day Gaming,10:00am-Midnight
We have room for over 50 people to play all day! Bring your games from home to share with others or play from a selection of games in our demo library! We will have designated spaces to store your game bags.
Designer Showcase with Ben Swainbank, 1:00-5:00pm
Local resident and game designer, Ben Swainbank, will be in the store to demo his supervillain card game, Villains & Vigilantes Card Game, along with the 4 new expansions for the game! Ben will be raffling off a copy of the base set for everyone that participates in a demo. Don’t miss it!
Play to Win: 7 Wonders: Duel, 10:00am-3:00pm
A designated table will be set up to play7 Wonders: Duel, the 2-player card game where you develop your civilization over three ages! Every person who sits down and learns or plays the game will be entered into a raffle to take home a copy of the game! Two winners will be announced. You do not need to be present to win. Additional 7 Wonders: Duel promos will be given away, as well!
Used Game Sale, 10:00am-8:00pm
Our Used Game Sale is the perfect opportunity to make room on your shelves for new games! Bring your games to Diversions and we’ll sell them for you. All sales will be transferred into store credit to the seller.
Please read the following conditions to participate:
•Please bring your games to Diversions no later than Wednesday, April 26 at 9:00pm and complete the required form. All games must be in new, excellent or very good condition with no missing components. All used games will be sold as is and cannot be returned for any reason.
•You may set your own price for each game but all used game sales must be facilitated by Diversions and the payout will be provided to sellers in store credit only. Used games may not be sold directly for cash during this event.
•Any used games not sold during this event must be taken back by the seller no later than Friday, May 5.
•Store credit will be applied in the form of a gift card to Diversions and will be available for pick up beginning Sunday, April 30 at 10:00am.
Puzzle Competition, 10:00am-6:00pm
Try out your puzzling skills for our Tabletop Day puzzle competition! You and one partner can participate by attempting to complete a 300 piece jigsaw puzzle in the fastest time without seeing the image on the box! The pair who has the best time at the end of the day will each receive a $20 gift card to Diversions Puzzles & Games!
Tenzi Contest, 10:00am-6:00pm
Tenzi is the fast-paced dice rolling game playable with 77 different rule sets! In the basic rules the player who first rolls all ten of their dice with a matching number wins! In our Tenzi Tabletop Day contest you can participate rolling all the dice and matching the same side on each die! The fastest time of the day will win a $20 Diversions Puzzles & Games gift card!
We will be raffling off two games (TBD) to be given away during the event! Below are the two different ways you can win:
Dice Jar Raffle, 10:00am -6:00pm:
A dice jar with a select number of dice will be set up at the front register. Can you guess how many individual dice are within? The person who guesses the closest to the actual number (over or under) will win a copy of Fugitive by Tim Fowers!
Seacoast Family Food Pantry Food Drive, all day
Take this opportunity to give back to the community and provide for others who are in need! We will be hosting a food drive throughout the duration of Tabletop Day/Diversions’ 5th to help supply the Seacoast Family Food Pantry (SFFP) with items they need to service members of the community. The SFFP has been operating since 1816. They strive to fulfill the needs of low-income individuals and families in emergencies or an ongoing basis as well as education on healthy diets in the Seacoast area. If you bring an item for the food drive you will earn a raffle ticket for a chance to win Vast: The Crystal Caverns! One raffle entry per person.

Winners for all the contests and events will be announced at 7:00pm. A name and phone number should be filled out on each ticketed event you participate in. Other details will be announced as we get closer to the event and you can also expect several surprises throughout the day! We can’t wait for you to join us on this special day for us.
