Alfonso Fabrega is an illustrator, artist and UX designer based in Portsmouth, NH. His insatiable curiosity for all things visual have led to a wide variety of work including motion design, pen + ink illustration, application/UI design, lettering and much more. A California ex-pat, he is now firmly ensconced here, and loves the thriving design community in his adopted home town.
Alfonso made his way to New England via the western route of L.A. to San Francisco to Seattle. So yeah, when he found himself in the smaller city of Portsmouth, it took some adjusting! But now he is a staple of the community. He regularly shows at the Enormous Tiny Art Show at the local gallery, Nahcotta and during the day you can find him at PixelMEDIA (a local digital agency).
Visual artists look at things and interact with things and feel that they can make them better.
We visited Alfonso at his studio/apartment, in an amazingly eclectic former mansion built by Frank Jones. A guitar, a computer, pads, pencils, and tastefully placed colorful clocks all seemed to perfectly surround the studio he calls home.
Speaking of illustration..
The Tiny Bit Huge mark was illustrated by local illustrator, Matt Talbot. It’s a fun image and a great reminder of just how much is going on here culturally.
